One should mention that this video was made before the last patch. Many things got changed since then
ReplyDeleteFor real, the guy is complaining about things like not being able to find whos shooting at him? Its not the games fault if you suck at the game. I appreciate the vids but some of the commentary is pretty fallacious.

ReplyDelete@bo: What are you talking about man? Even in HD it was obvious shit just hits you from who knows where. The guy wasn't complaining he simply you said you had to look for the tracers most of the time because mobs can "see" you when you can't see them - which is a sign of poor game design.
ReplyDeleteAlso, with the lack of directional sound which is obvious in these videos and the poor sound in general, it's easy to see why someone could get annoyed when shit is just hitting them fro 200 yards out and you have no idea where from.
I don't see that as sucking at the game rather just a game sucking.
All in all he gave the most solid video anyone has on Darkfall with a mixed review. He praised certain things and took away from others. There isn't anything wroth with that. No one who is a decent gamer is going to say everything is glorious and perfect in this game. That's because it isn't. Hell, even the Devs have admitted that in one of their most recent updates.
Damn guys. Just because someone says something not "positive" doesn't mean they are bashing the game - ease up and stop being whiny little bitches yourselves. Dumb ass kids.

ReplyDeleteChances are very good I'm older than you, so don't call me a kid. Secondly, you can't expect to be able to tell shit from sound on Youtube. Plenty of testers have said directional sound does in fact work. It looks to me like the tracers work as intended from all the videos I saw, so yes, I think he sucks. Picking out objects from the environment is part of the difficulty of a FPS type game, he was spinning in circles randomly complaining that he couldn't find who was hitting him when to me it seemed pretty obvious. So yes, he sucks at the game.
